Dr. Michael S. Green is board certified in both Family Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is currently providing primarily Obstetrics and Gynecology services in his role as Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Centers for Family Health in Ventura County California.
Dr. Green is a graduate from Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead California. He did his undergraduate studies in chemistry at the University of California at Berkeley from 1982 – 1986. He received a Masters of Science in Chemistry at the California State University at Northridge in 1989. Dr Green received his MD (and became Dr. Green) at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis Missouri in 1993. He completed a Family Practice Residency at the Ventura County Medical Center in 1996 and became Board certified in Family Practice that year. Dr Green then went on to complete an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in 1999. Soon after, he became Board certified in Obstetrics and became a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). He has been with the Centers for Family Health since 2000 and became Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the “Centers” in 2001.
Dr. Green has been happily married to his wife Stephanie since 1988. He has three sons, and lives in Ventura California. Dr Green has spent time doing medical missions. He has been on short-term mission trips to Zimbabwe, China, India, and Nigeria. He is a volunteer and the medical director at the Crises Pregnancy Center in Ventura and has served on the Board of Trustees for the Crises Pregnancy Center in Thousand Oaks, CA. He served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Life Pacific College.
Dr. Green loves to camp with his family. He enjoys fishing, hiking and on-line gaming with his boys. He also enjoys boogie boarding, skiing, cooking, and entertaining.
